New Wine Christian Center
Is Spiked With Poison

November 2002

Among the many false churches that lead to hell (Matthew 7:13-14; 2 Timothy 4:3) is the New Wine Christian Center which is located at 27000 Bouquet Canyon Road, Santa Clarita, CA. Besides the preaching of a false gospel (see below), this church is affiliated with the American Baptist denomination which is a wicked organization. The American Baptist denomination allows for abortion, is against capital punishment, has those who accept homosexuality in their midst, and does not believe in the salvation that is in Christ Jesus. [All information in this report has been hard copied for our records.]

I. Abortion

In regards to abortion, the American Baptists write,

We acknowledge the diversity of deeply held convictions within our fellowship even as we seek to interpret the Scriptures under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Many American Baptists believe that, biblically, human life begins at conception, that abortion is immoral and a destruction of a human being created in God's image (Job 31:15; Psalm 139:13-16; Jeremiah 1:5; Luke 1:44; Proverbs 31:8-9; Galatians 1:15). Many others believe that while abortion is a regrettable reality, it can be a morally acceptable action and they choose to act on the biblical principles of compassion and justice (John 8:1-11; Exodus 21:22-25; Matthew 7:1-5; James 2:2-13) and freedom of will (John 16:13; Roman 14:4-5, 10-13). Many gradations of opinion between these basic positions have been expressed within our fellowship.

We also recognize that we are divided as to the proper witness of the church to the state regarding abortion. Many of our membership seek legal safeguards to protect unborn life. Many others advocate for and support family planning legislation, including legalized abortion as in the best interest of women in particular and society in general. Again, we have many points of view between these two positions. Consequently, we acknowledge the freedom of each individual to advocate for a public policy on abortion that reflects his or her beliefs. (www.abc-usa.org/resources/resol/abortion.htm)

This is disgusting. Instead of removing those evil people (1 Corinthians 5:13) who advocate the killing of unborn children (Exodus 20:13; 21:22-23), they tolerate such murderers (contrary to Romans 16:17-18).

II. Capital Punishment

In regards to capital punishment, the American Baptists write,

Therefore, the General Board of the American Baptist Churches recommends the abolition of capital punishment in those states which still practice it and urges churches and members of our American Baptist constituency to support groups and agencies working for the abolition of capital punishment in those governmental jurisdictions of the U.S. where it is still authorized by law. (www.abc-usa.org/resources/resol/cappun.htm)

This is completely against the teaching of the Word of God. See Genesis 9:6 & Numbers 35:31-33 (see also, by way of examples in God's law, Exodus 21:15-17; Leviticus 20:10-18; 23:27-32; 24:16).

III. Homosexuality

The American Baptist resolution on homosexuality reads,

We affirm that the practice of homosexuality is incompatible with Christian teaching. (www.abc-usa.org/resources/resol/homosex.htm)

Under this resolution they have this:

Adopted by the General Board of the American Baptist Churches by Mail Vote - October 1992

110 Yes, 64 No, 5 Abstentions

64 who did not agree with this simple statement, and 5 who wouldn't give any answer one way or the other! Amazing! And these are supposedly Christian people? They are on the "General Board of the American Baptist Churches!" The American Baptist obviously do not live out 2 Timothy 3:1-5. For some Scriptures on homosexuality, see Genesis 19/Jude 7; Romans 1:26-27 and 1 Corinthians 6:9-10.

IV. Unbelief In The Savior

Instead of believing in the power of Christ to set people free from the power of sin (as the Scriptures teach, John 8:34-36; Romans 6:17-18; 2 Corinthians 5:17), American Baptists believe in the power of AA.

Chemically dependent persons and their families also need the support of other life-changing fellowships such as Alcoholics Anonymous, Al-Anon, Alateen and Narcotics Anonymous which can focus on their specific problems.

6. Identify and refer to resources in the community such as Alcoholics Anonymous, Al-Anon, Alateen and Narcotics Anonymous and wherever possible make church facilities available to such groups. (www.abc-usa.org/resources/resol/alcohol.htm)

There would be no need for AA (etc.) if Jesus set them free (John 8:34-36), but since these churches are not in Christ, they have to rely upon worldly means to attempt some kind of a "salvation" for those caught in the sins of drunkenness and chemical dependency (desires of the mind, Ephesians 2:3).

Likewise, instead of believing Isaiah 26:3 and 2 Timothy 1:7, that those in Christ will have a sound mind and be in peace, American Baptists follow after that which is falsely called knowledge (1 Timothy 6:20-21) as they embrace the wisdom of the world rather than the wisdom of Christ. In the American Baptist resolution on Mental Illness they define mental illness with these words:

Although symptoms of mental illness may be present in many situations, the term mental illness is used here to describe disorders causing severe disturbances in thinking, feeling and/or relating, the result of which is a substantially diminished capacity for coping with the ordinary demands of life. (www.abc-usa.org/resources/resol/mentill.htm)

A little later they write,

We, the people of the American Baptist Churches in the U.S.A., solemnly resolve:

to encourage interprofessional cooperation among psychiatrists, social workers and clergy;

to seek ways for persons with mental illness to recognize their own gifts and strengths, and use them in service and ministry to and with others in congregations and communities, including employment.

Psychiatrists would be neither wanted nor needed if they knew and believed in the salvation that is in Christ Jesus (Proverbs 3:1-2; 16:3; Isaiah 26:3; Philippians 4:6-7; 2 Timothy 1:7). But instead, again, they go after the wisdom of this world, which is foolishness (1 Corinthians 3:19), and have among themselves those with evil minds (evil-mindedness, Romans 1:29). Of course, it is no wonder, because they themselves have debased minds (Romans 1:28).

V. False Gospel

As far as New Wine Christian Center is concerned, in particular, they promote the false gospel of the four spiritual laws (see www.newwinecc.org). Law number two has a diagram with arrows going up from man towards God and reads,

This diagram illustrates that God is holy and man is sinful. A great gulf separates the two. The arrows illustrate that man is continually trying to reach God and the abundant life through his own efforts, such as a good life, philosophy, or religion - but he inevitably fails. (www.greatcom.org/laws/english/)

This is the exact opposite of the gospel of Christ. God says,

There is none who seeks after God. (Romans 3:11; see also Psalm 10; 14; 53; and Proverbs 17:11)
