View Lauren Hamlett's Letter to ATC

[Barney LaMontagne from Grants Pass, Oregon sent a DVD of Gail Riplinger teaching in the pulpit of Berean Baptist Church at 4135 Thomasville Road, Winston-Salem, NC. In a subsequent letter Barney sent Riplinger's flyer on her book, New Age Bible Versions. The following are Darwin's comments to Barney about the pamphlet he sent.]

The information you sent in that pamphlet is wicked. Not only is it the work of a woman false teacher (who rejects [1 Timothy 2:11-14; 1 Corinthians 14:34-37], as you do), but she is a false witness (Proverbs 12:17), not only regarding the Translations, but she is a false witness against Christ and the writers of the New Testament.

For just a few examples, note how Riplinger claims the use of "the Son of Man" in John 9:35 (NASB, NIV, etc.) instead of "Son of God" (KJV) reveals the "God of the New Versions/New Age."

To use her same standard (Matthew 7:2, which will be used against her, Matthew 12:36-37), the Lord Jesus Christ is to be condemned as "God of the New Age." Jesus uses this exact same term many times over for Himself (e.g. Matthew 8:20; 9:6; 10:23; 11:19; etc.).

Likewise, she falsely testifies that the concept of Christ's name being on the forehead of the 144,000 in Revelation 14:1 reveals "God of the New Versions/New Age." In Revelation 3:12 Christ promises that His name and His Father's name will be written upon those who overcome. Who's to say it is not on the forehead? God doesn't, and neither should we (Proverbs 30:5-6).

Another example, in Joshua 22:22 the NASB uses "The Mighty One." Riplinger claims this reveals "God of the New Versions/New Age." This is so foolish. The verse itself makes it very clear (even in the NASB) what God is being spoken of. Moreover, "The Mighty One" is used in the KJV 4 times for the true God (Isaiah 1:24; 30:29; 49:26; 60:16).

Under her "Salvation by works or faith in Jesus Christ?" she claims "who believes" (NASB) instead of "who believes in me" (KJV) in Mark 9:42 reveals a "Salvation by works." This is so foolish! Mark 16:16 says "He that believeth" (KJV) and has no "in me," but actually adds a work "and is baptized." According to Riplinger's measure (Matthew 7:2), then the KJV must also teach a "Salvation by works."

Likewise, she claims"the gospel" (NASB) instead of "the gospel of Christ" (KJV) in Romans 1:16 reveals "Salvation by works." If this really were true, then Christ, the KJV, and the New Testament writers all preached a gospel of works, because they all have no "of Christ" after "the gospel" many times over (e.g. Mark 1:15; 8:35; 10:29; 13:10; 16:15; Luke 9:6; 20:1; Acts 8:25; 14:21; 15:7; 2 Corinthians 8:18; Galatians 2:5; etc.).

Another example, Riplinger claims it is "Salvation by works" for the NASB (etc.) to have "truth" instead of "truth in Christ" (1 Timothy 2:7). If she knew the truth, she would know Christ is the truth (John 14:6), and "the truth" and "the truth in Christ" are identical in meaning, because in Him are ALL the treasures of wisdom and knowledge (Colossians 2:3). Christ IS the truth (John 14:6). There is no truth apart from Him.

Riplinger is a false witness, and God hates a false witness (Proverbs 6:16), and He hates all those who heed them and promote their lies (Psalm 5:5-6). That means God hates you, and if you don't repent and stop promoting this garbage you will know well His hate for all eternity in the Lake of Fire (Revelation 21:8 "all liars").

Darwin,

I called the church on Friday Dec. 2nd and we spoke for about 45 minutes. I have come across one pastor who I believe to be faithful to the scriptures. His name is Todd Wagner and he is the Senior Pastor at Watermark Community Church in Dallas, TX. He reaches a large number of people and is asked to speak at confreneces regularly. Per our conversation, I can tell you are a busy man but I'd appreciate it if you had time to listen to some of his sermons or check out his website and let me know what you think. The website is www.watermarkcommunity.org.

You did ask what church I go to in Austin, TX and it is The Austin Stone Community Church. Our website is www.austinstone.org. I'd really really appreciate it if you had a chance to let me know what you thought about these two pastors. That would really help me in my discernment as a future pastor.

Thanks again for your time Darwin.

For God's glory,

Aaron Chester

Subject: Re: Todd Wagner and Watermark Community Church

Todd Wagner is a false teacher evidenced by (but not soley, 2 Peter 3:16), for example, his promotion of demonic doctrine and the false gospel (Galatians 1:8-9) of Celebrate Recovery (www.watermarkcommunity.org/ministry/celebrate.asp).

The Twelve Steps (which they use, modified slightly) comes from the founder of Alcoholics Anonymous, Bill Wilson, who was into ouija boards, participation in seances, psychic events, "spook sessions", table levitation, and would receive "messages" from "discarnate" spirits (Pass It On' The Story of Bill Wilson and how the A.A. message reached the world, p. 275f.). It is a deceptive false gospel in dealing with sin.

In their Celebrate Recovery they deal with chemical addiction, eating disorders, substance abuse, bulimia (gluttony, see e.g. Philippians 3:18-19), pornography, alcoholism, homosexuality, etc. which all simply are results of being lost in sin. The simple true gospel, Jesus Christ, frees from such things (John 8:31-36). The fact that they have a separate ministry to deal with these things proves they deny and do not know the power of godliness (2 Timothy 3:5). If they did, they would simply preach the gospel (the word) and watch God do His awesome saving.

For a little more on AA and Celebrate Recovery, see www.atruechurch.info/newlife.html & www.atruechurch.info/rickwarren.html under III. Denies The Power of Godliness (2 Timothy 3:5).

They are into Christmas (see their home page), which is a left over from Catholicism. Please see www.atruechurch.info/christmas.html.

They have bought the self-esteem lie (first paragraph @ www.watermarkcommunity2.org/pages/glow). Please see our report on Dobson for verses on self-esteem (www.atruechurch.info/dobson.html).

They promote the essentials lie. They state,

Unity
We embrace diversity but require unity in the essentials, understanding in the non-essentials and seek in every way to love others as Christ has first loved us. We have a great commitment to the great commandment and the great commission, believing by this alone God will make us a great church. (www.watermarkcommunity.org/about/governance.asp)

For information on the essentials lie, see www.atruechurch.info/savednot.html & www.atruechurch.info/macarthur.html under II. Fundamentals.

Also, just above the quote above on the same page they write under "Diversity,"

Our desire, however, is that the Holy Spirit will bless us with a rich diversity of ages, life-stages, religious, racial, educational and socioeconomic backgrounds.

There is no such thing as "a rich diversity of . . . religious . . . backgrounds." Any religion, including false Christianity, is evil idolatry and God hates all who are involved in it (Psalm 5:5-6; Proverbs 6:19). They say they desire diversity of religious backgrounds. In the truth, true Christianity, there is no diversity of religion (e.g. Ephesians 4:5; 1 John 4:6), and it is not something to be desired. Religious diversity is evil (idolatry). They desire evil.

Further down on this same page they make an unbiblical distinction between believers:

1. Positional Membership – which includes all true believers in Jesus Christ; and

2. Participatory Membership – which includes true believers in Jesus Christ who have committed themselves to this local body as outlined above (hereinafter "Members").

Read the New Testament. Neither Paul nor anyone else made any such distinction. Furthermore, this Participatory Membership has requirements of:

1) make a written statement of his faith in Christ and his intent, with God's help, to pursue a life that will bring glory to God; 2) assent to the Beliefs and Governance of Watermark Community Church; 3) attend the church's New Member Class; and 4) sign the Membership Covenant.

The "Positional Membership" isn't enough? It should be. But since they follow the traditions of men (Colossians 2:8), they lay upon their people unbiblical mandates. This is not following Christ (the word), but rather man. It's a great trap for someone who might later come to see the truth and expose their error. See my story for an example (www.atruechurch.info/ourside.html).

In fact, their trap is laid out in the next section:

SECTION 4: CARE AND CORRECTION OF PARTICIPATORY MEMBERS

It is the responsibility of the Board of Elders, as described in Acts 20:28, to "be on guard for themselves and all the flock among which the Holy Spirit has made them overseers to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood." Shepherding includes both the care and correction of the sheep. As a consequence, the Board of Elders may separate a member of the flock from Membership for:

The separation process shall follow that laid out in Scripture. By applying for and accepting Membership in this church, all Members submit themselves to the care and correction of the Board of Elders, and may not resign from Membership in an attempt to avoid such care and correction.

Notice, "departure from his previously expressed agreement with 'Our Beliefs.'" That is not a Biblical standard. Departure from the word of God is, but not a "previously expressed agreement." Because, "the commandment is a lamp, and the law a light, reproofs of instruction is the way of life." (Proverbs 6:23). Anyone in the truth, as they grow, will likely change "previously expressed" beliefs as they conform to the word of God, as they grow in the knowledge and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18).

On the page www.watermarkcommunity.org/evangelism/mainmessage.asp they promote a common false gospel. They link to another site where you read,

Man is continually trying to reach God and establish a personal relationship with Him through human efforts, such as living a good life, philosophy, or religion. (www.whoisjesus-really.com/english/you.htm)

This is a lie, and the exact opposite of the gospel of God. Men hate God (Romans 1:18-30). They do not seek Him (try "to reach God"), Romans 3:18. They do NOT want to "establish a personal relationship with Him" (Psalm 10:3; Romans 1:28).

They also promote a false gospel via their promotion of www.gotlife.org (on page www.watermarkcommunity.org/evangelism/mainmessage.asp) which says,

God made man to love Him forever. (this is at www.gotlife.org in their flash media)

The Bible never says that (Proverbs 30:5-6). They also say (in this same flash media),

God created you to live in relationship with Him.

This also is a lie for the majority of mankind. Most (Matthew 7:13-14) were made to be destroyed forever (Psalm 92:5-7) as vessels of wrath (Romans 9:11-22) in hell (Revelation 21:8). Only the elect were made to love Him forever (Ephesians 1:4).

Also, on this same website (in their flash presentation) they speak against Christ when they say,

Want life? It's as easy as . . . ABC . . . Admit . . . Believe . . . Confess.

Christ said it was difficult (Matthew 7:14; see also 1 Peter 4:18).

As far as the Austin Stone Community Church goes, it appears they are Southern Baptist (see www.austinstone.org/who_we_are/church_history.htm, end of third paragraph). See our report concerning this wicked denomination (www.atruechurch.info/valleybaptist.html).

Moreover, Austin Stone follows the ever so common but eternally damning essentials lie. They write,

Here are a few of our thoughts as we try to figure out how to live as followers of Christ and as a community of believers in the 21st century. These are things we're passionate about, things we believe to be true, and things we love to talk about but we don't expect everyone to agree with our conclusions. The Moravian leader Zinzendorf's motto was 'In essentials, unity; in non-essentials, liberty; and in all things, love' Its ours, too. We hope you enjoy reading some non-essentials among these articles. (www.austinstone.org/what_we_believe/articles.htm)

One article deals with God's plans and expectations for women. That's a non-essential? What folly! Look at the articles yourself. They deal with Scriptural subjects. Scriptural subjects (the word of the living God) is in no way a non-essential (Matthew 4:4; 2 Corinthians 10:3-5)! This issue, the essentials lie, proves they are not in the way of truth (John 14:6; 2 Peter 2:2), because the essentials lie is diametrically opposed to the way of truth. Therefore, these pastors are false teachers as well.

And, sadly, it is evident that you hear the voice of strangers. Thus, at present, you are not one of Christ's sheep (John 10:5) and are on that broad road (false Christianity) to eternal destruction (www.atruechurch.info/savednot.html). I write this in the love of Christ for your soul's sake. I gain nothing from this but a good conscience before God knowing I have loved you enough to tell you the truth (Proverbs 27:5-6) and warned you of your impending doom if you do not repent (as in Ezekiel 33:8-9; Acts 20:26).

Remember, Satan deceives the whole world (Revelation 12:9). Don't be so nieve to think he is not fast at work in the "Christian" world with his intense deception. His ministers look good (Matthew 23:27-28; 2 Corinthians 11:13-15), but they lead to hell.

May God have mercy on you, grant you repentance, and may you escape the snare of the devil (2 Timothy 2:24-26). Be afraid of God (Luke 12:4-5, www.atruechurch.info/fearofgod.html). It's the only way out (Proverbs 9:10; 8:13; Job 28:28).

I pastor a fellowship here in Tasmania, Australia, and I was very encouraged with what I read on your site. Great to see other Disciples standing against Christ-mas. If you are interested I think you would be very encouraged with our material also at www.newheartchristianchurch.com

Keep up the fight of faith.

Thank you for the email.

In light of Matthew 23:8-10, why do you call yourself "Pastor" Rod Gow?

In your article entitled, "WHAT OF CHRIST-MAS?", you rightly declare Christmas to be traditions of men, pagan, and idolatry. Then, at the end of the article you write,

"You need to come to these conclusions in your relationship with Jesus, please don't come to any conclusions due to this article or from my tape "What of Christ-mas?" Take it to your heavenly father and if in doing that you come to a different stance than mine, then I pray that you can still walk in love and unity with those of us who because of conscience sake have renounced this festival."

So, its OK to follow the traditions of men, paganism, and be an idolator? And you desire fellowship with such people?

In your article on "Judging" you write,

"a child cries out for discipline"

Where does the Bible teach this?

You also write immediately after this,

"a sinful world cries out for a standard in which to live by"

Where does the Bible teach this?

After this you write,

"the Church should be a living example of this standard no matter how unpopular it is."

How can your church be a living example of this standard when immediately after this you write,

"If however in reading this article you have come to a scriptural understanding of this topic that differs from what I have put forward, may the Lord bless you as you implement His word in your life and in your Church."?

In your article, "WAKE UP CALL" you write,

"As you read this it might make you angry, I hope it makes you angry enough to pick up a Bible and see why so many love Jesus and follow Him."

Why do you say, "So many love Jesus" when the Bible says few love Jesus (Matthew 7:13-14; 2 Timothy 4:3-4)?

[As of 1-02-06 Rod Gow has not responded.]

We also found the following statements on his website. Mr. Gow writes in the context of keeping physical houses clean,

It is my belief that where there is clutter or mess (confusion) there is demonic activity, for Satan is the author of confusion. (article, "Clean Up Our Act")

He also writes in this same article,

And further more we are calling ourselves part of His body, so when we meet as His body for worship and praise let us groom and dress ourselves to the best of our physical and financial ability.

The first quote is a misuse of 1 Corinthians 14:33. Scripture does not teach that physical clutter or mess in one's house equals, or is equvilent to, confusion. The second quote is a doctrine of man, not God (Matthew 15:8-9).

Subject: I need some help

I imagine that you're probably busy with other matters, and this is something that might take some time to thoroughly examine; however, I would dearly appreciate it if you could look into some matters.

I spoke to you on the phone a few days ago, and I'm encouraged to know that there are others out there who take God's Word seriously. After discovering your site, I've been challenged to correct things about my own walk that don't line up with God's Word. You present things very well in light of God's Word, and I thoroughly enjoy reading all of the material on your site because of your diligence to prove what is acceptable to the Lord.

I, like many others, have been led astray from God's Word by false teachers, and I'm attempting to come back to my love for the Truth. I've fallen for many tricks, and at times have even repeated man-made doctrines (and qualifying as a false teacher myself, though never deliberately. I now hate those things I've repeated). Your commitment to expose the errors of false teachings has opened my eyes to things that I have foolishly considered to be true. I thank God for people like yourselves who boldly contend for the faith.

I've only recently seriously started reading God's Word, and He has helped me overcome many things in the past and I trust that He will in the future also. Your warnings for me to take heed if I follow the voice of strangers has greatly opened my eyes to the seriousness of God's Word and examining myself to see if I am in the faith.

I have been led astray, as I mentioned earlier, by many false teachings such as:

The "Invite Jesus into your heart" gospel
The "God doesn't kill anyone" doctrine
The "Women can preach" heresy
KJV-onlyism
The "essentials/fundamentals" lie
The "do not offend" doctrine

And perhaps many others.

I do want to know what your position concerning answered prayers is, as I have not once (aside from asking God to kill me) noticed having been let down, ever, when I pray in faith.

God is truly amazing, and I desire to learn more and more, and you have helped me greatly. I was foolish in following the voice of strangers, but I do highly esteem God's Word and do my best to follow It because I know He is Truth.

I will not even go so far as to accept everything you say without first reading each verse that you quote and relying on my trust in God to show me what is True and what is error.

I have attempted to warn others of the folly of their ways, and so far I haven't found one who listens to me or God's Word concerning your site. They think I'm the one in error, (and I may be, probably in fact) yet I haven't seen them give an example of such, because I desire greatly to be corrected.

Immediately after discovering your site, I posted it on the message boards I regularly visit.. to discover that they edited my posts and forbid me to link to your site.

I was persistant, however, and I posted many things from your site (so that others could read for themselves, I hope you don't mind my using your content, please forgive me for not asking first). I was hoping that someone there would be able to see clearly that your warnings are noteworthy.

They all claim that they believe God's Word, but it is evident that they don't, or else they would take heed to the many warnings. So far, I haven't known of any of them that would even bother to watch the videos on your site.

They've gone so far as to lock most of the threads and delete several of my more recent posts. I have a feeling they will attempt to delete the threads completely.

They view my actions as dangerous, and I have often had problems ever trying to convey any point to them. The only times they agreed with me, it seems, is when I made the folly of agreeing with false teachings and doctrines.

I have made many errors there, and they seem to praise me for them, instead of warn me.

If you don't mind, I would greatly appreciate it if you read the posts here:

http://eternaltruthministry.com/forum/forum38.html

I have tried to reason with them, but they all think I'm in error. If you like, I would be happy for you to attempt to correct them, as you might be able to reach some of them where I have failed.

You can read any other posts, as you like, and correct me however you like (I'm sure I need plenty of correcting, and will receive quite a bit, if you take the time to read through some of my posts. I listed the Passion of the Christ as one of my favorite movies, for example, and I had viewed Mel Gibson as a man of God, I thank you for correction, you may have helped save my soul from death).

I'm new at seeking the Truth, and I know that it is in God's Word. I may be on the broad road right now, though I hope to be on the straight and narrow soon. I thank you for your time, and I hope to hear from you soon.

-Christopher Taylor

P.S.

If you do not want any of your site content on the message boards, please let me know (once again, I'm sorry for not asking first, and I'm also sorry for any editing I may have done to the content) so I can remove it.

I don't want to be found fighting against God.. and I have definately been a pawn for satan, and that greatly disturbs me.

As long as someone is not in the truth, their prayers are an abomination to God (Proverbs 15:8-10, 26; 28:9).

For a true believer, even sin hinders prayer (1 Peter 3:7) or stops a response from God (Psalm 66:18; Isaiah 59:2), or praying the wrong thing (Jeremiah 7:16). Yet, in His kindness (Matthew 5:45), according to His good pleasure (Psalm 115:3), the Lord even responds to the wicked (e.g. Genesis 4:13-15; Exodus 16:2-15 [later they complain and the Lord kills them, e.g. Numbers 11:1]; 1 Kings 21:27-29).

You wrote, "I hope you don't mind my using your content"

No problem.

You wrote, "I have tried to reason with them, but they all think I'm in error. If you like, I would be happy for you to attempt to correct them, as you might be able to reach some of them where I have failed."

Because of priorities in my life, I do not have the time to do such things. Also, if they have been warned, and they continue in their folly, the wisdom of God says to leave them alone (Proverbs 14:7; 23:9; 29:9).

I have read some of what you have posted. Looks very good so far. I'll let you know if I come across something that I think I should bring to your attention.

May the Lord direct you into His truth.

I'm sorry we don't have a report on him at this time. I found a website that purports to promote his teaching. Here are a couple of matters. They write,

The church lost the revelation that the one God, Jehovah, expressed Himself in the Old Testament as the Father, manifested Himself in the Gospels in the Son, Jesus, and revealed Himself in the Book of Acts as the Holy Spirit. In reality, it is three dispensations of the same God. God above us, God with us, God in us. NOT three persons, but one glorious personage, finally and wonderfully unveiled. (www.williambranham.com/awitness7.htm)

If this truly is what he taught, then he rejected the plurality of God, which equals rejecting the true God. For the plurality of God, please see www.atruechurch.info/lordisaman.html and the links on that page.

This website indicates that he taught that the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was Satan himself (www.williambranham.com/awitness8.htm). Scripture does not teach that (Proverbs 30:5-6). Also, in this same article they write (what is apparently Branham's writing):

Here is where we receive the true revelation of the `Serpent's seed.' Here is what really happened in the Garden of Eden. The Word says that Eve was beguiled by the serpent. She was actually seduced by the serpent. It says in Genesis 3:1, "Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made." This beast was so close to a human being (and yet was pure animal) that he could reason and talk. He was an upright creature and was somewhat in between a chimpanzee and a man, but closer to a man. He was so close to being human that his seed could, and did mingle with that of the woman and cause her to conceive. When this happened, God cursed the serpent. He changed every bone in the serpent's body so that he had to crawl like a snake.

That is fiction, not God's word (Proverbs 30:5-6).

Greetings ATC,

Thank You for your vast study and knowledge of Scripture….I hear you loud and clear, crystal clear! I’ve recently read most everything on this website. I’m no scholar, but know enough Scripture that my spirit can and does bear witness with your warnings.

Matt. 7:13-15 finally sunk in earlier this year. Over the last few years, I started paying more attention to Christ's words, and found that they are not what denominations teach at all. Protestant churches today resemble catholic churches – and have catholic/masonic idols and practices. I’ve been searching for a place to serve and fellowship for a long time. Thought I recently found one, but God was faithful to reveal the error. Can’t find a church who teaches God’s commands. Have to admit, it’s wearisome and depressing...although I'm thankful God is leading me into all truth.

Have you researched the Assemblies of God denomination? I’m struggling with this one. Have suspicions and need them confirmed. If it's evil at the root, then why bother with a branch, right?

Again, thank you for taking the time.

In Christ,

Thank you for the email.

Assemblies of God is a denominational lie. They are not assemblies of the true God, but of the wicked one. You can look at the Assemblies of God website (http://ag.org/top/) and see they are into Christmas, socery (Narnia), doctrines of men (e.g. on alcohol http://ag.org/top/beliefs/position_papers/4187_abstinence.cfm), rejecting 1 Corinthians 14:34-35 and 1 Timothy 2:11-14 (http://ag.org/top/beliefs/position_papers/4191_women_ministry.cfm), and deny the power of godliness (2 Timothy 3:5), as in their article on homosexuality states,

"Christians should also do all they can to assist the person who has struggled with homosexual behaviors to find deliverance. Change is not always easy but it is possible. It may require the help of others in the body of Christ, such as counselors and pastors, as well as a supportive church fellowship. Christian organizations are also available to help those who seek to change their lifestyles." (http://ag.org/top/beliefs/position_papers/4181_homosexuality.cfm, second to last paragraph)

If they knew and believed in the power of the gospel (Romans 1:16), they would not refer to any help from anyone other than Jesus Christ for deliverence from a lifestyle of homosexuality (John 8:31-36).

Subject: Hello

I am writing you because I have been at a desperate search for a true church
for a while now. I stumbled across your website after almost purchasing one
of John Hagee's books. I also almost bought "The Shadow of the Apocalypse"
by Paul Crouch, founder of TBN. I am very interested in studying more of
your website and I was wondering if you had any advice as far as Paul Crouch
and his book. Do you know anything about him? In addition, I had just a
few others in mind that I am seeking your advice. I am assuming that you
will say that there is not one good preacher on CTN or TBN. Is this right?
I do have one website that I believe preaches "truly" the word of god.
www.apostolic.net by Pastor Ren Rutledge. Could you tell me what you think
about his site and what they have to say? They are Apostolic/Pentecostal.

Thanks for any help

Dustin

Thank you for the email.

Paul Crouch is in fellowship with Catholics (please see our Catholic report), and has a whole host of false teachers on his station (e.g. Benny Hinn). He is clearly a false Christian.

You asked, "I am assuming that you will say that there is not one good preacher on CTN or TBN. Is this right?"

Correct. Please see our article "You Think You're Saved, But You're Not!" and our FAQ.

In regards to Ren Rutledge, if he is a part of the the Apostolic/Pentecostal movement (as you say), he is a false teacher. The Apostolic/Pentecostal movement believes God is still "confirming the word through the accompanying signs" (Mark 16:20) and "bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit" (Hebrews 2:4). They are big liars on this alone. If God were still doing those things, it would be evident to all (e.g. Acts 4:16), not just those who believe in it.

Hello,

This will be my last email to you; I know you are probably a busy person. Two questions, is water baptism a requirement of God for salvation. Are you saying that God no longer performs miracles?

Thanks for your help!

Anyone who serves God ought to be a busy person (1 Corinthians 15:58). You may write again, don't concern yourself with that.

For your first question, please see our report, "What Must I Do To Be Saved?"

For your second question, no we are not saying God no longer performs miracles. We are saying He is no longer "confirming the word through the accompanying signs" (Mark 16:20) and "bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit" (Hebrews 2:4). We believe we can still ask God for miracles, but He is not doing what the Pentacostals claim (i.e. the same as in the gospels and Acts).

I have heard many sermons from John MacArthur and your information has opened my eyes a little wider, and for this I thank you.

I learn much from Dr. Charles F. Betters and would be quite surprised if he were under your scrutiny.

Charles F. Betters is a false teacher as well. He identifies himself with reformed theology which has its roots in the false teacher Calvin who taught the false gospel of limited atonement. Reformed theology also has historically been Amill, which is a whole host of false doctrine. Whether Betters believes in limited atonement or Amill or not is immaterial, because he has lined himself up with tradition of men (Colossians 2:8) that promotes lies. If he were a true man of God he would be holy and have no connection with such wickedness.
